In my corner
of all existing things,
Fall has come.
Time for cool night falls,
For trees morphing
into bouquets
of yellow, orange, crimson.
Birds flocking.
Clacking,
chirping cacophonies,
rising from
the colored canopies.
The hummingbird
has caught
a ride out of town.
Sunlight slants.
Honeysuckle,
bittersweet berries swell.
The locust pods hang low
upon the bough,
desiring the ground.
Fall.
Nature's descent:
Neither containable
or collected in a jar.
All we own
is its changing presence.
My Sunday
will be sunny,
with a slight chance
of starlings.

Doing a little CATch up work today and wanted to say thank you for leaving kind words at my place when my grandma left. Your kind words helped us all to feel better when we were sad. What a good friend you are!
Thanks from,
Gracie, Daddie, & Mommie
ps: Love the post and photo!!
What a wonderful poetic forecast. Yes, our hummingbirds have moved south, but we still have other birds I can watch. My favorite thing is to watch the busy busy chipmunks in th rock walls.

You are beautiful in the window!
That was lovely, Noll!!
We hope your Sunday was as good as you were hoping.
Great forecast. Did the little hummingbirds pack their tiny bags and catch a ride on the Canadian Geese?
