and search for catnip's telltale scent.
Awwww, there it is!
Step #2....Be very, very quiet
so as not to make it run.
Step #3....Address the catnip with respect.
A "Good afternoon Sir Nepeta cataria"
is quite appropriate.
Step #4....Bow your head low.
Step #5....Let your face
become one with the nip.
Remember: Catnip is shy at first,
but it quickly becomes
a cat's best friend.

Ah, Noll, that looks so delightful. My Mom and Dad put my catnip plant on my "lower deck" in the summer so if I escape from the upper deck, I can't resist delaying in my escape to the larger world to sniff the nip. But this year they will have to start a new plant - the old one is very deaded.
We had no idea that there is an art to it, Noll! We'll approach it with much more respect now:)
