Noll Reflects on Simba

original photo of Kareen & Simba by Alex Szabo

Long ago,
There was a kitten,
And a little girl who loved him.
His name was Simba.
--------
Simba would become the cat of her dreams.
The love of her young life.
-----
They never got to say goodbye.
---------
She says I remind her of him.
-----
She says she still misses him,
like the deserts miss the rain.

What a beautiful memory and gorgeous photo. I think it's the greatest compliment...to be told you remind a friend of someone they loved and lost.

My first Siamese was Satchmo. My second Siamese was Thomasina. My third Siamese was Sapphire. My fifth Siamese was Ling Ling .. Thomasina's sister. My Fifth Siamese was Lilly Ann.

My sixth is Jasmine Marie.

I've had others too but my Siamese have meant so much to me.

Meowmy has a meezer that came before who gave her the same feelings. His name was Beau and she never got to say goodbye to him either.

That is a great picture - but such a sad ending to the story. It is too bad they were not able to say goodbye - but I know that sometimes that is how life is. This is a wonderful memory though - thanks for sharing it!
