Nolls Thoughts on Vigilance

a vigilant Noll
A cat is, by its very nature, vigilant.

The subject and purpose of its vigilance is irrelevant.

It is the nature that is the divining force: to be in the state of vigilance regardless of season, wakefulness, or reason.

A cat can no more be separated from its vigilance than a songbird can be separated from its song.

Very true. We are vigilant even when sleeping -- unlike humans, who are big snoring logs.

That is a lot to ponder. We think we will do that with our afternoon nap!

Noll, you are very right! Who knows what Bad Things might happen if we ever let our guards down.

Those are some very deep thoughts! I think it is true that cats are always vigilant, because they always need to know what is up - even when they sleep they keep an ear up listening.

That's very insightful:) A cat must be ready for all situations.
