Noll on How to Approach Catnip in the Wild

Step #1....Point your nose into the wind
and search for catnip's telltale scent.
 Awwww, there it is!

Step #2....Be very, very quiet
so as not to make it run.

Step #3....Address the catnip with respect.
A "Good afternoon Sir Nepeta cataria"
is quite appropriate.

Step #4....Bow your head low.

Step #5....Let your face
become one with the nip.

Remember: Catnip is shy at first,
but it quickly becomes
a cat's best friend.

Noll on the "Little Things"

It's the little things in life
that really matter.

Little things like, say....batteries for the camera.  (I think 5 1/2 years with the same rechargeables is pretty good.)  When it gets to the point you're recharging hours to take a handful of photos, it's time to break down and buy new.  Little things like batteries......and you're back in business,

to capture the little moments:

like when little birdies
brighten a face,

filling little eyes
with wonder.

And the beholder's heart,
with a little love.

Noll's Sunshine Award

A hearty howdy-do to all!
There's nothing quite so nice as an award because a.) they are always so pretty, b.) they mean someone is thinking about you, and c.) they mean you get to think about someone else & spread smiles across the miles!

Noll's Doppelganger!

Just like Luigi, Noll has a doppelganger.  Although Cookie is no longer with his family, Cookie's memory endures.   Here is his story:

O'Nollie

May the road rise up to greet you,
May the wind be at your back.
And, at each rainbow's end,
Be there a pot of gold
And a kitty-cat.

Happy St. Paddy's Day

Noll's Friend-A-Thon

Noll is meowing at me.  He is a little lonely on Facebook and thought perhaps a "Friend-A-Thon" would chase the lonelies away.

Won't you come over and play?

Noll Remembers Butch

As I found out from my dear friends Jack and Moo, the great Iditarod is underway today.

What better way to remember a husky than on a such a day.  Although he never physically ran the race, like all huskies, Butch's spirit ran.  When Butch walked, even on the hottest summer day, Butch pulled with his shoulders - his chest pushing forward - as if he were moving a train.  When it snowed, Butch rolled and cavorted in it; he nibbled snow like a frozen treat.  He plucked the snowflakes from the air.  The cold nurtured an energy inside him that knew no limit.  I know, that if he would have been given the chance, Butch would have been the lead dog.

In Memory of Butchie Boogie..........

Mush my beauty....MUSH!

Noll's Says "Hello...My Name is"

I received this from my new friend, Simba back on Valentine's Day.
Simba is one gorgeous and talented ginger tabby.
Quite franky, I think Simba should be crowned the
"All Around Cat-O-Lympic's Champion."
Check out his efforts in the high jump, balance beam and
snoozing competitions and see for yourself.

This new award was the brainchild of Inigo of Rumblebum.
It is called the "Hi My Name Is" award.
Like Simba, I think it is a wonderful idea. Here are the rules:

This award must be given to two blogs that you have not visited before. Once you've found two new blogs, you need to post in their comments:

(1) a big hello and something that you like about their blog

(2) that they've won this award from your blog

(3) a link back to your blog so they can collect the award and pass it along to two bloggers, who will then pass it along to two bloggers, etc, etc.

This way we can meet all kinds of cool new cats and doggies and humans!!

I have chosen the following two cat blogs that I had never been to before, and as soon as I have posted this I will go and post in their comments according to the rules.

1) Cat of Nine Tales - This really nice lady named Lisa has 9....NINE....pawsome cats.  Which makes her pawsome to the ninth degree!!!!!!!!!  Her cats are named Snafu, BJ, Penny, Angus, Nick, Owen, Moseley, Yukon and Wizard.  They are a fun bunch =^..^=

2) Monty Greycat - Monty is a deep thinker who ponders out loud.  I am a bit of a muser myself so I am going to love visiting Monty and his mom.  She fosters kitties.  It doesn't get much better than that.

Hello to my new friends.
And thanks Inigo for the idea and Simba for passing it on to me

Noll's Week in Review:

I surveyed my kingdom!

I sunbathed!

I helped make the bed!

I went through the buffet line!

So how was your week my wonderful, furry friends?
